Georgia Fearn is a writer and NYU Business & Economic Reporting MA candidate whose work explores how law, economics, and policy shape everyday life.

Originally from Carmarthen, a post-industrial town in West Wales, she earned a law degree from the University of Cambridge, where she was awarded the Pro-Bono Award for her research into racial disparities in the U.S. capital punishment system. She previously worked in corporate litigation and in-house legal compliance, with a focus on regulatory risk in the security and tech sectors.

A first-generation university graduate from a post-industrial town in rural West Wales, Georgia brings both legal rigour and personal experience to her reporting on the intersection of economics, policy, and inequality. Her writing has appeared in the Cambridge Law Journal and New Welsh Review, and she has interviewed high-profile political and cultural figures for The Cambridge Union.

Outside writing, she is a bilingual Welsh speaker, avid reader, award-winning poet, and dark-pop musician. Georgia is a citizen of the United Kingdom.
