Georgia Fearn is a journalist and NYU Business & Economic Reporting MA candidate whose work explores how law, economics, and policy shape everyday life.
Originally from Carmarthen, a post-industrial town in West Wales, she earned a law degree from the University of Cambridge, where she was awarded the Pro-Bono Award for her research into racial disparities in the U.S. capital punishment system.
Before shifting into journalism, Georgia worked in legal research and corporate compliance, experiences that now inform her reporting on structural inequality, public accountability, and economics. Her writing has appeared in the Cambridge Law Journal, New Welsh Review, and she is currently developing a portfolio of business reporting while based in New York.
Georgia is particularly interested in data-rich, public service stories, and hopes to contribute to investigative work in economic journalism.
